Leslie’s Small Engines opened in 1993 in a small shop in Gilmer, TX. Leslie and Jhonnie, along with their son, Richard, gained a reputation for providing quality equipment and service, and the shop eventually outgrew its location. In March 2005, the business moved to its current location in Longview, TX and we updated the name to Leslie’s Outdoor Power. These days, Leslie and Jhonnie are enjoying retirement, and the business is now managed by their sons, Richard and John. We currently employ several family members of multiple generations and have developed a “family” relationship with the rest of our staff. We strive to continue in the values that Leslie and Jhonnie have always promoted: faith in Christ, hard work, honesty, and excellent customer service. The business has continued to prosper, and we believe that is due to our customers, who continue to be our motivation to constantly improve and expand.

Experience
Leslie’s has been meeting the lawn care needs of our customers since 1993. We are currently in the second generation of management, and employ two Briggs Master Service Technicians, who also hold certifications in Kohler, Kawasaki, and many other brands.

Our Team
Leslie opened the business in 1993 with a desire to carry only the top product lines and to adhere to our core values of honesty, integrity, expertise, and Christian faith. Leslie has an Industrial Technology degree from Texas A&M University and has worked on small engines since he was just five years old! Although Leslie has now retired, he passed these values and a wealth of knowledge on to his son, Richard, who now manages the business. Leslie’s currently employs two full time service technicians, who are not only Briggs Master Service Techs, but also certified in Kawasaki and Kohler engines. Their expertise allows us to properly repair both lawnmowers and handheld equipment and provide a quick turnaround time. We also have a well-trained sales staff and offer pickup and delivery. Our goal is to continue to expand our offerings to the public and to endeavor to provide unbeatable customer service.
